The Ontario Coalition Against Poverty joins with the millions of people around the world who have stood up to condemn and resist the Israeli attack on Gaza and to applaud the courage and strength of the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank and around the world. As Israel escalates its attacks on the people of Gaza we are a part of the movement which demands an end to the Apartheid regime in Israel and we stand with all of those around the world taking to the streets to demand justice in Gaza, justice in the West Bank and justice in their own communities.
The struggle against the forces of capital and greed in Toronto is also the struggle against the forces that create and perpetuate war, imperialism, occupation, and apartheid against people around the globe. The governments and forces that keep us poor are the same governments and forces that invade, occupy, murder and commit ethnic cleansing and genocide.
OCAP Builds Cement Wall Against Real Estate Developer In Solidarity With Palestinian
OCAP demands immediate end to the settlements on Palestinian land, calls for building real affordable housing in Toronto
Today, as part of the International Week Against Israel's Apartheid Wall, the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty (OCAP) has erected a reinforced cement wall in front of the Toronto building '50 On the Park' at 50 Portland St. (Bathurst and King) owned by wealthy real estate developer Leviev-Boymelgreen. Leviev-Boymelgreen is a developer in Toronto and Brooklyn and also builds illegal Israeli settlements in Occupied Palestine.
